Build conversational fluency and expand your vocabulary! Outside of class, you will read and listen to a hilarious Spanish-language graphic novel, Billy y Las Botas. In our live sessions, you will practice speaking through discussions, debates, games and role-play activities. Live sessions are immersive, meaning that they are conducted completely in Spanish. You’ll have so much fun that you will forget that you are learning!

Level: This class is ideal for beginner Spanish learners who have had prior exposure to and/or study of the Spanish language.
Prerequisite: Beginner Spanish 101, or ability to have a short and simple conversation in Spanish in the present tense.

Are your summer classes leveled? Our summer classes are loosely leveled: Speaking Through Stories (Billy y Las Botas) is best for beginners with basic conversational skills, while Speaking Through Stories (La Casa de La Dentista) is best for intermediate-level learners.
Do I have to purchase the graphic novel? Nope! Your digital copy of the graphic novel (including glossary, audio component, and the ability to adjust the text to your language level) is included with your enrollment in the course.
What are your class sizes? Each class is capped at 8 students, so that you receive ample opportunities to practice speaking and the individual feedback necessary to improve your conversational skills.
I am a complete beginner. Which class is right for me? Our summer classes are designed for learners who already have at least basic conversational skills in Spanish. If this does not (yet) describe you, then I recommend that you wait and take Beginner Spanish 101 in the fall!
Can I enroll in both levels? Absolutely! You can take both levels and make it an intensive! This is a fantastic way to accelerate your journey to fluency.
What happens if I miss a class? All our live sessions are recorded, so if you miss a class, you can watch the recording and catch up on what you missed!
